The spice of life......no, really.

If you know me you know that I have a fondness for all things food. I like to grow it, cook it, share it, read about it, eat it, and even take pictures of it. After being given a book called "Everything I Ate" by Tucker Shaw (which came from a shelf somewhere in the Xavier bookstore and thankfully made its way into my hands) I was inspired to share a peek into my life not so much through words or candid shots of me with friends rather through the sometimes simple and sometimes elaborate gastronomic goodness that I experience each day. I am a rookie so not every meal makes it on camera but it's a start. Food brings people together. Food keeps culture and family tradition alive. Food is often tangible evidence of human desires and weaknesses. Food tells a story...and this happens to be a "piece" (ha) of mine. Indeed, I am what I eat.

1pm: HAPPINESS. I might as well be eating clouds from the heavens...because that is how I felt during this meal. SO yes it's a med veg sandwich and greek salad at Panera. But, I've had that before. It was good. But not nearly as good as the feeling of sharing this meal with a person that I've been waiting 6 months to see. What a happy, happy meal.

5pm: B-mom's Chocolate cake in honor of Francisco's return home for break. So good!!! Haven' had a dessert like this in awhile!
8pm: Macaroni Grill with Francisco, his friend Mike and Mike's girlfriend Becca. Tasty rosemary bread, salad, and scallor/shrimp/clam linguine in a white wine sauce. Good company. Decent food. We can make better. :P

1am: 4 P's bar with Zach, Meg, Pat, Jackie, etc. Yuengling. Fantastic ACE friend reunion. Great times.
